Our practice is located in the heart of Subiaco - an area steeped in history, teeming with character (and characters), and adorned with centuries-old Moreton Bay Figs which closely hug the worn, sun-scarred terraces. The area imbibes a real spirit of community, close-knit family values, and old-world high street charms.
We are housed inside the high, steel-trussed beams of the historic King’s Hall, a Subiaco landmark built during the early days of Federation. Affectionately referred to as ‘The People’s Hall’, it served as the major community and social centre in Subiaco for more than half a century. During its distinguished lifetime, this building has welcomed returned servicemen, American GIs, championship bouts and split lips, moving pictures and magic lanterns, the Charleston, and the devout. We are very fond of this grand, old gentleman, and are strongly committed to safeguarding his legacy.
Lovingly restored in 1990, Kings Hall closely represents our own practice’s philosophies: a perfect alchemy between the old world and the new that echoes the traditional relationships we share with our patients, fused with the modern and progressive healthcare, equipment, and design.
The history of Rokeby GP was established long before the doors to the clinic first opened. Rokeby GP is not just bricks, mortar, and pressed tin ceilings, it is the proliferation and expression of an idea: an idea steeped in history, built on the tenancy of strong family values and an insatiable desire to provide the best possible healthcare.
